Hull College Chester Building Reception

Hull College has worked with D3 for 15+ years and was a natural choice when looking to revitalise their main visitor reception. The reception is accessed from multiple points in the building so the primary goal was to design and manufacture a bespoke reception that had a welcoming point for each entrance that spanned a virtual 360 degree angle. D3 designed a circular bespoke piece with 4 receptionist points, along with 2 towers to conceal ceiling distributed power and data. We then took inspiration from the college brand guidelines to supply a variety of furnished areas around reception ideal for welcoming and enrolling visitors and potential students. Quality and longevity given the area footfall was also a key driver for D3 through the whole process.
